Our Thoughts on P90X and Insanity
I realize I promised you all a weekly update right from the photoshoot this week, but things may run a little late, then I have to go straight from there to a speaking engagement at a nearby University – so there may not be a whole lot of time to upload anything. That said, I promise to have some footage from the shoot in next week’s update!
One of the members of our Facebook group asked me what I think about P90X and Insanity – which are two programs owned by one of our competitors.
I think I was expected to bash them, but I try to be objective as I can. The thing I think they do best is marketing, but I’ve got no doubt that their programs have gotten people some decent results. That said, I’d put any of ours up against any of theirs any day!
Check out what else I have to say about them here:

Strengthening Your Knees
When seeking questions in our Facebook group for the Sunday Q&A, one member asked a question about how to strengthen your knees. While I didn’t use it in the Q&A segment, I felt like it would be a pretty good choice for this week’s Quick Tip Tuesday.
If you’ve got knee issues, know that avoiding working them entirely maybe one of the worst things you can do. Why? Found out below:

Tracking Weight Loss the Right Way
Per a fantastic suggestion from a member, I’ve opted to break the Sunday Q&A up into separate videos. That way you can get answers to a specific question a little quicker, and our youtube and facebook users will be able to sort through things a little more easily.
The first question was on setting a realistic and healthy goal weight factoring in weight, gender, lean body mass, etc.
The next question was on why the scale is so deceptive and inaccurate when tracking your weight loss and/or muscle gaining progress.

The Everest Challenge…
In this episode of the WorkoutBOX Weekly Update, Travis shares why his hair is a shaggy mess, talks about a new change to the Sunday Q&A thanks to a member suggestion, and dares the community to complete a workout challenge…
Mt. Everest: 300 continuous stair squat jumps with minimal rest.
Many have tried. Few have succeeded. Are you up for it?

What Causes Lower Back Pain?
This is something I’ve been really excited about for a while.
As we beef up our weekly video content, we’re going to be coming out with more and more shows. I honestly think that most of you will really love this one. It’s quick, it’s helpful, and it will likely answer questions that you didn’t even know you had.
I this week’s episode I talk about a common cause of lower back pain, and how it can be avoided.

Exercise After Injury, Scheduling Your Routine
In this week’s episode of the WorkoutBOX Sunday Q&A, Travis takes two great questions from the facebook group.
The topics covered are:
- Exercise after surgery or serious injury
- Ensuring your schedule and workout routine work together
Due to some technical difficulties, this video was filmed with our backup camera so no wireless mics could be used, but everything should still be perfectly clear and the content is definitely worth a watch!

Training by Gender, Fat Loss, and Exercise Order
In the pilot episode of the WorkoutBOX Sunday Q&A, Travis has taken three questions from the facebook group. The questions answered are:
- Is it best to begin solely with cardio and then introduce weights later – specifically for women?
- What’s an exercise I can use to trim fat from my thighs?
- Are multi-joint exercises better than isolation movements, and in what order should they be performed?
I was having a little mic trouble during this video, so forgive me if the sound gets a little scratchy for a moment towards the middle!

Changes, Photo Shoots and Travel
Hey WorkoutBOXers!
Today’s WorkoutBOX weekly update talks a little more about the new system and the changes that we’ll be making over the next month or two.
I also talk a little bit about my travel plans for the next few months, and I give a little insight into prepping the body for a photo shoot.
Yes, I know my hair is a little messy, but the content is pretty solid. Check it out!
