Okay, I understand this isn’t a real medical condition – but it should be.

Over the years I’ve heard a lot of things, read a million books, and learned a lot. That being said, it’s funny that there has been one saying that has stuck with me and drives me to this day:

If someone were to write a book about your life, would anyone want to read it?

When I’m looking for motivation, I’ll go look in the mirror and ask myself this same question. It’s time you did the same.

When you look back at your life, how do you feel? Do you feel good about what you’ve accomplished?

    Do you have any regrets?

We all have regrets. And many of us aren’t satisfied with where we’re at right now. The important thing is that you live in the present and you look to the future.

Worrying about something you’ve done usually won’t be all that productive. Instead, search for ways that you can improve yourself today so you can be the type of person you want to be tomorrow.

In fitness, this is the same way. In my mind, you deserve to love your body. You deserve to have the self-confidence to walk across the beach in a skimpy bathing suit knowing, and not caring, that multiple sets of eyes are staring at your body. When this happens, you deserve to feel good about what they’re thinking.

With some hard work, discipline, and a little guidance from the right people, you can achieve this very goal. You can and should feel proud of the body you see in the mirror. Getting in shape shouldn’t be one of those things you regretted not doing.

The time isn’t ten days from now. It’s not ten years from now or ten minutes from now. The time is now. Start working toward your goals today. Then each and every day after today, take another step towards your goal.

So push hard during each workout. Eat well. Take the right supplements. Go to sleep when you should. Have a social life, but remember what you’re working for.

As always, we’ve shown you the door.

    Will you walk through it?
