Crunch, Hands to Floor

This crunch is an effective exercise for developing the abs, and is performed by crunching enough so that the hands move 6 inches across the ground. Below you'll find a video guide and step by step instructions that describes the correct technique for the crunch, hands to floor exercise.

Crunch, Hands to Floor Steps:

Step 1:
Lie on your back on a gym mat with knees bent & feet firmly placed on the floor

Step 2:
Place the hands flat on the floor either side

Step 3:
Tense the abdominals and curl the shoulders & chest towards the knees

Step 4:
Keep the hands flat and slide them along the floor whilst performing the crunch

Step 5:
Make sure the lower back stays in contact with the mat

Step 6:
Lower back down to the beginning

Step 7:
This is one repetition
