Full Crunch, Medicine Ball

Type: Abs
This crunch is an effective exercise for developing the abs, and is performed by executing a normal crunch, keeping the hands with the med ball constantly directly overhead. Below you'll find a video guide and step by step instructions that describes the correct technique for the full crunch with medicine ball exercise.

Full Crunch, Medicine Ball Steps:

Step 1:
Lie flat on your back on a gym mat, holding a suitably weighted medicine ball

Step 2:
Extend your arms out straight up behind the head holding the ball

Step 3:
With the arms straight move the ball from behind the head to above the torso

Step 4:
Simultaneously curl the upper torso towards the knees whilst exhaling

Step 5:
Ensue the shoulders and upper back are just raised off the floor

Step 6:
Pause briefly, then slowly return to the start position with the arms extended above the head

Step 7:
This is one repetition
