Bicep Curls, Barbell, Overhand Grip

Reverse grip bicep curls isolate the bicep muscles in the upper arm but work the forearms to a higher degree. It's an exercise that is not often thought of but has a lot of advantages. If you want a handshake to be proud of and earn instant respect then slip this one in your workout.

Bicep Curls, Barbell, Overhand Grip Steps:

Step 1:
Stand up straight holding a barbell with both hands, using an overhand grip about a shoulder width apart.

Step 2:
Pull the shoulders back and keep the upper arms tucked into the body.

Step 3:
Curl the barbell up from the hips until shoulder height.

Step 4:
After a brief pause, extend the elbows to straighten the arms and lower to the start position.

Step 5:
Maintain a straight back throughout the movement.
