Bicep Curls, Cable

An alternative to using dumbbells or a barbell, performing cable bicep curls is ideal for beginners. Varying the type of grip or bar can focus the intensity to different areas of the bicep and forearm muscles.

Bicep Curls, Cable Steps:

Step 1:
Set the cable pulley down to the lowest position.

Step 2:
Stand up straight and take hold of the handle bar with an underhand grip, shoulder width apart.

Step 3:
Pull the shoulders back and keep the upper arms tucked into the body.

Step 4:
Curl the cable bar from the waist up to shoulder height.

Step 5:
Pause briefly, extend the elbows to straighten the arms and lower to the start position.

Step 6:
Maintain a straight back throughout the movement.
