The Close Up Curl is an effective exercise for strengthening the biceps. It isolates the biceps, especially the peak of the biceps. Below you will find a video tutorial and step by step instructions on how to perform the Close up Curl.

Close Up Curl, Curl Bar Steps:

Step 1:
Standing up straight, grasp a curl bar with a shoulder-width grip.

Step 2:
Start with the hands supinated

Step 3:
Fire the biceps hard and flex the elbows to curl the weight toward your chin, but keep the bar tight against the body so that the elbows flare behind you.

Step 4:
Return to the start position in a slow and controlled fashion.

Step 5:
Repeat for all required reps.
