The Close Up Dumbbell Curl is an effective exercise for strengthening the biceps. Using dumbbells will help isolate the bicep and will make sure you don't cheat by using the rest of your body.

Close Up Curl, Dumbbell Steps:
Standing up straight, grasp a dumbbell in each hand.
|
Start with the hands supinated
|
Fire the biceps hard and flex the elbows to curl the weight toward your chin, but keep the weights tight against the body so that the elbows flare behind you.
|
Return to the start position in a slow and controlled fashion.
|
Repeat for all required reps.
