The Static Dumbbell Curl is an effective exercise for strengthening the biceps. This bicep curl isolates the upper part of the bicep, and will help give it a large, defined look. Below you will find a video tutorial and step by step instructions on how to perform the Static Dumbbell Curl

Static Bicep Curls, Dumbbell Steps:

Step 1:
Standing up straight, grasp a dumbbell in each hand.

Step 2:
Fire the biceps hard and flex the elbow to curl the weight toward your chin slightly.

Step 3:
Pause after 1/3 of the range of motion for 1-2 seconds.

Step 4:
Proceed to perform another 1/3 of the range of motion, followed by another pause.

Step 5:
Proceed to the top.

Step 6:
Return to the start position in the same way as you rose, pausing 3 times.

Step 7:
Repeat for all required reps.
