Tricep Pushdowns, V Bar Steps:

Step 1:
Face the cable machine with feet shoulder width apart.

Step 2:
Maintain a straight back throughout the movement.

Step 3:
Cable & V bar should be adjusted to around chest height.

Step 4:
Take hold of the bar with an overhand grip.

Step 5:
Push your shoulders back, brace the abdominals and back.

Step 6:
With the upper arms tucked into the side of the chest, push down by extending the elbows to straighten the arms.

Step 7:
Pause briefly at the bottom and return to the start.

  • The only movement should be in the elbows. Any other movement in the back or hips probably means the weight is too heavy.
