Lat Pulldown, Underhand Grip Steps:
Adjust the seat height or the knee pads to the correct position for you.
Grasp the bar with a narrow underhand grip. Should be approximately shoulder width.
Sit on the seat, with arms extended, lean back slightly so the middle of the chest is directly under the cable pulley
Brace the abs and back muscles to insure a straight back
Breath in and pull the bar down towards the mid chest by bending at the elbows
Keep the forearms vertical.
Pause briefly, breath out slowly and return to the cable to the start position.
Top Tip:The lat pulldown is a great exercise for working the back muscles in particular the lats. Utilise the various grips such as narrow, wide, underhand, overhand and neutral, to add stimulation to your workout by stressing other muscles.
