Row, Dumbbell, Kneeling

The kneeling row is an effective exercise for developing the lats, and is performed by kneeling on a bench and performing a row, squeezing the shoulders together. The kneeling version targets each side of the lat muscles individually and also allows for more weight to be lifted, but can often be easier for beginners to perform. . Row, Dumbbell, Kneeling Steps:

Step 1:
Place the knee and hand of the same side on to a bench

Step 2:
Maintain a straight back

Step 3:
Position the opposite foot on the floor for stability

Step 4:
Tuck the elbow in close to the trunk, palm facing inwards

Step 5:
Draw the dumbbell up towards the outside of the abdomen

Step 6:
Pause then slowly lower the dumbbell to the start position

Step 7:
This is one repetition

Step 8:
Repeat for the opposite side to complete the set
