The squat with medicine ball twist is a dynamic exercise that mimics functional everyday movement and works the whole body. It's a good exercise for developing a strong lower back and core.

Squat, Medicine Ball Twist, Low to High Steps:

Step 1:
Use a medicine ball that is heavy enough to almost work you to failure after each set.

Step 2:
Place it to the right of your feet. Flex at the hips and bend your knees to pick up the ball. It is important to maintain a neutral spine throughout the movement.

Step 3:
Using both hands stand up with the ball at arms length, rotate at the hips and raise up to the left side.

Step 4:
Repeat for the opposite side.
