Superman, Alternating

The alternating superman exercise is great for strengthening the lower back and improving coordination between the lower and upper limbs.
Level :  Equipment : No
Lower Back
Buttocks
Hamstrings
Shoulders

Superman, Alternating Steps:

Step 1:
Lie face down on a gym mat with your arms straight above your head.

Step 2:
Tense your abdominals and keep your head and neck straight.

Step 3:
At the same time raise one arm and leg on the same side.

Step 4:
Make sure the arm and leg remain straight at the elbow and knee.

Step 5:
Pause for a second at the extremity of the movement and lower down to the start.

Step 6:
Repeat with the arm and leg on the opposite side.
