The squat press is an effective exercise for developing the deltoids and quads, and is performed by squatting, pressing overhead, and extending the arms. This combination of movement works both the upper and lower body in one exercise. Squat, Dumbbell Press Steps:

Step 1:
Stand up holding the dumbbells at shoulder height

Step 2:
Rotate the hands so the palms face each other

Step 3:
Position the feet at shoulder width

Step 4:
Drop into a squat by bending at the knees and hips

Step 5:
Maintain the position of the dumbbells

Step 6:
Stand up from the squat by extending the knees and hips

Step 7:
From the standing position press the dumbbell overhead

Step 8:
Return the dumbbells to shoulder height

Step 9:
This is one repetition
