Push Up, Burpee

The burpee push up is an effective combination exercise for developing strength & power in the whole body, and is performed by combining the standard push up with a squat & squat thrust. This version of the push up incorporates many more muscle groups and increases cardiovascular intensity of the exercise. Push Up, Burpee Steps:

Step 1:
From the standing position squat down so the hands are touching the floor

Step 2:
Perform a squat thrust by rapidly extending the legs to a pushup position

Step 3:
Perform a push up by lowering the whole body towards the floor

Step 4:
Reverse the movement by extending the elbows

Step 5:
Rapidly bring the knees towards the chest back to the squat position

Step 6:
From the squat, stand up to the start position

Step 7:
This is one repetition
