Walking Lunges, Medicine Ball Rainbow

The walking rainbow lunge is an effective exercise for dynamically warming up, and is performed by performing a lunge with each step, rotating the arms. This dynamic movement works the whole body. Walking Lunges, Medicine Ball Rainbow Steps:

Step 1:
Take hold of a medicine ball and hold it to one side

Step 2:
Stand with feet at shoulder width

Step 3:
Take a large lunging step forwards with the opposite leg

Step 4:
Simultaneously rotate the torso towards the leading leg

Step 5:
Keep the arms straight and follow a high arch across the body above the head

Step 6:
The medicine ball should end up on the opposite side

Step 7:
Keep the chest lifted, back straight and head looking forwards

Step 8:
Repeat for the opposite leg

Step 9:
This is one repetition
