Push Press, Dumbbell

The dumbbell push press is an effective exercise for developing the deltoids, and is performed by pressing overhead, extending the arms, only slightly using the legs. Using the legs allows you to push more weight by gaining momentum from the lower body. Push Press, Dumbbell Steps:

Step 1:
Take hold of a pair of dumbbells and stand upright

Step 2:
Raise the them up to shoulder height, palms facing forwards

Step 3:
Feet should be hip width apart, knees straight but not locked

Step 4:
Drop the knees, extend the elbows & push the dumbbells overhead by driving the legs

Step 5:
Pause briefly and lower back to shoulder height keeping the legs straight

Step 6:
This is one repetition
