Bicep Curls, Barbell

Bicep curls isolate the bicep muscles in the upper arm. It's a very popular exercise and one most people can relate to. Remember not to neglect the triceps though, because it's a combination of well developed triceps and biceps that will really fill out your upper arms.

Bicep Curls, Barbell Steps:

Step 1:
Stand up straight holding a barbell with both hands, use an underhand grip about a shoulder width apart.

Step 2:
Pull the shoulders back and keep the upper arms tucked into the body.

Step 3:
Curl the barbells up from the hips until shoulder height.

Step 4:
After a brief pause, extend the elbows to straighten the arms and lower to the start position.

Step 5:
Maintain a straight back throughout the movement.
