Plow Pose Steps:

Step 1:
Start by lying on your back with knees bent and feet flat on the floor (arms extended at your sides with palms down).

Step 2:
Inhale to extend both legs up towards the ceiling (legs together and feet flexed).

Step 3:
Exhale to put your hands on the glutes and lower back as you roll the tailbone up and drop the legs closer to the ground, carefully moving the hands up the spine to a position where the shoulders and upper arms are comfortably bearing all the weight of the body.

Step 4:
Keep head and neck long as elbows are directly below the hips (elbows pointed straight back) and tailbone pointed up towards the ceiling. Legs remain together and fully extended, parallel to the ground (or toes closer to the ground if possible).

Step 5:
Inhale to prepare.

Step 6:
Exhale to extend at the hips and point the feet up towards the ceiling as the weight is comfortably supported by the back of the shoulders and upper arms.

Step 7:
Hold the posture for 5 to 10 breaths and then return to starting position.
