Reclining Hero Pose

Reclining Hero Pose Steps:

Step 1:
Start by kneeling on the top of the mat with feet and knees together.

Step 2:
Reach back and place the hands beside the feet (fingertips facing forward) as you widen the knees to mat distance apart (big toes are still in contact with one another).

Step 3:
Exhale to extend through the hips and create a straight line from the knees through the hips and shoulders.

Step 4:
Inhale to prepare.

Step 5:
Exhale to continue to round the spine down until you feel a tolerable stretch through the front of the thighs (knees should remain in contact with the floor at all times). If you reach the shoulders to the ground the arms can lay by your sides or crossed above your head.

Step 6:
Hold the posture for 5 to 10 breaths and then return to starting position.
